You want to be a lawyer? Don’t start your lawyer goal with learning about the educational requirements (i.e., 4 year college degree and 3 year law degree). Wrong place to start. Yes you need a 4 year degree and 3 year law degree. But that’s not all you need to do or know in order to be a lawyer in the United States of America. Some people might start with the education requirements and that’s it. Then learn as they go. The last thing to do is the Bar Exam and the MPRE. Educate yourself about the Bar Exam and the MPRE before signing up for law school. Becoming a lawyer in the United States of America is convoluted. They don’t tell you about first about the Bar Exam and MPRE. Why is that? Should you already know? How would you know? It’s not like this information is communicated to people wishing to become a lawyer. The only thing being pushed in the face of people who want to be a lawyer is law school.
