Why do people resort to personal attacks instead of intelligently debating?

People don’t answer questions. What they do is attempt to make it seem like something is wrong with the person for asking a particular question. No question is a dumb question.

Just because someone asked a question you never heard before, asked a controversial question, or even a question that seems obvious doesn’t mean that it is a dumb question or that something is wrong with that person.

I will never understand why people resort to personally attack individuals when answering questions. Boy if I personally attacked my professors in law school when asked various questions on exams or in class, I would not have graduated.

Always stick to the call of the question.
