I have ad blocker on my laptop. I heard something outside. I thought it was about to rain. I checked the weather for the city I am currently in. No rain until Thursday. Then I switched to the weather for my hometown — Detroit, MI. Because out of curiosity I wanted to know what the weather was looking like in Detroit. Then I received a pop-up from The Weather Channel telling me to turn off ad blocker. Wow..

I just left the site. Why do I need to see ads to view the weather? Why is weather for sell? What website can you use that does not have ads on it? Almost none. I will always have ad blocker on my laptop. I refuse to be subjected to ads all day everyday. Advertising is getting out of hand.
