Road Rage: Someone Called Me Ugly Stupid Black Ass
I was driving down the street in a black low income neighborhood. I dropped off a DoorDash order in the area.
While trying to make my way from that community there was a car on my bumper. I pulled over in over to allow the car to go around. (This is what I normally do when a vehicle is driving on my bumper. I am not changing my driving speed).
The car sped off to a red light. They were turning left and I was turning right. I gradually drove toward the. red light. It took me about 10–20 secs to get to the ref light. My window was cracked.
When I got toward the red light — a black female from the car yelled in a country accent,
“Your ugly stupid black ass.”
I didn’t look or say anything back.
Road Rage is very interesting
However, people need to get out their feelings. I don’t have road rage to the point I have to roll my window down to yell at people. I remember seeing this guy stick his middle finger up at a driver. It was frieghtening to watch. I am not saying I’m perfect or don’t have anger issue, but driving is not something I get my panties in a bunch about.
Why I don’t get road rage
- I don’t own the road
- If somebody died or dying — well they gotta die at some point
- For the most part, I am mild tempered
- Driving is not that serious
Years ago, my mother told me that I needed to have more compassion. I bring my compassion on the road.
