Principals I Learned from “The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth: Live Them and Reach Your Potential” Book
During law school, I had the opportunity to read, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth: Live Them and Reach Your Potential by John C. Maxwell. The principals in the book about growth and reaching your full potential applied to my life in various ways.
I was also able to apply the principals from this book to law school and use them in my future career. Growth is a learning process, which requires doing something that you have never done to get results you never had.
Growth does not stop when you find a good job, but rather it continues throughout life. This book made realize the things that I was not doing and the reasons I was not succeeding in certain areas of my life. However, anything is possible if I am willing to grow and believe in myself and my abilities to be successful.
Law school was very challenging for me and I did not get the best grades. Although I believe I did the best that I could do in each course. I often think back about what I could have or should have done differently to be at the top of the class or the top fifty percent. I often hear that jobs and internships in the legal field are based off a student’s transcript. Bad grades affected my learning and motivation for law school for a long time.
