It’s unrealistic to expect poor people to be happy. Poverty turns the heart cold. Why do you think people hold on to their money, other valuables, buy security, buy insurance? Nobody wants to lose their money. Nobody wants to lose their money equivalents. It unrealistic for a parent to expect their child or children to love them, like them, respect them when they are poor and the main reason they are poor. You cannot love someone who didn’t care enough to get their own life together before they brought you into this capitalist world.
