Is Don Lemon The Only Black Guy In The Room?
When black people get a lil education, they start feeling their self
I ain’t even know I was following this man page on Instagram. I was on Instagram today. I came across a light skin man kissing an older lady. I thought, what the hell, who the hell is this? I go to his page to find out who the hell I am following. All I see is Don Lemon with the staged family, work, and clean fun pictures.
I don’t know what the hell I was thinking the day I tapped follow on his Instagram page. I unfollowed his ass. He’s not being hisself. He’s not authentic. He fits in to keep that little CNN gig. His whole feed is stereotypical and super duper extra corny.
He made me think about this guy I went to law school with and worked with that loss a lot of weight, but still wore his oversized suits just to fit the status quo in professional settings. He talked so much to people about absolutely nothing. One day I asked him why does he talk so much? He said he didn’t want people to think he was hard to get along with. I stopped talking to him. I don’t like people (with or without education), who feel like they have to fit in, prove something to others to be liked, or people who conform to mainstream American pie norms. The world would be better if everyone was their true authentic self!
It ain’t a drop of ethnicity in Don Lemon. I know his type because I saw it firsthand in law school. Don Lemon paints the pretty picture. He’s the good…
