I never thought about greyhounds this way. I guess your pockets determine your experiences. Money buys you better experiences. You can even live in a better area. I’m from Detroit. It’s so dirty. But when you go out to the suburbs or white areas, it’s clean, quiet, green grass, no trash, no graffiti.

Back in my college days, I used to take the greyhound home to Detroit from Michigan State University some weekends. At first I would get off in actual Detroit — girlllll I stopped doing that. I got off that greyhound in Southfield, MI. I told my mama pick up at the greyhound in Southfield. The greyhound station in downtown Detroit was so dirty, filled with bums, and questionable looking people. Southfield is a suburb in Detroit. At least there you could sit down. I felt safer at that greyhound.

My last greyhound was when I went to Chicago from Lansing with a friend. Worse greyhound ride ever — probably because it was much longer. I never took a greyhound ever again.

I doubt I’ll ever take a greyhound ever again. I’ll drive. Because it takes so much longer than if you drive yourself.
