How Come The Bar Exam Ain’t Free?
Cause ain’t nothing in this world is free except the air you breathe. And that might not even be free. It’s a tax somewhere for breathing.
On some real shit, the extra requirement to be a lawyer, bar exam should come with the degree. The cost should be factored into tuition.
Money is the great eliminator. Without no money what can you do? Money determines everything. Money determines where you live, how you live, what you eat, what you wear, who you have sex with, and more. With money, opportunities are nearly endless.
There are no lawyers in my family. I didn’t know any growing up either. My 65 year old aunt went to school for childhood education. She always talked about she wanted to go to law school.
I had no guidance on becoming a lawyer. My parents ain’t know shit about higher education. My father asked,
“why did you go to law school? You had a job working for the state”.
I worked for the Michigan Department of Human Services processing food stamps applications, medicaid apps, and emergency applications for rent and utility services. I made $17/hr and the maximum was $23/hr. In the black community it’s rare that parents support their kids in anyway.
