A rapper in Detroit raised money on GoFundMe to buy Governor Gretchen Whitmer aka Big Gretch, a pair of Cartier sunglasses. She declined for obvious reasons of being the governor.

In addition, this was a stupid idea

A waste of money. People in Detroit could work together and donate money like this for a better cause than buying something like material goods. As much blight there is in Detroit you would think people would pool money together to clean up the city.

No one should feel bad about the city of Detroit

It is obvious that these people do not care. In 24 hours, a rapper named GCash was able to use his influence to raise $2,950 for a pair of Buffalo Cartier sunglasses for the Governor. What idiotic way to raise money. If he knew the laws he would know governors cannot accept expensive gifts like this.

Detroit, please stop doing stupid shit like this

There are better things to do like fixing the blight in the city of Detroit. Stop waiting for the government to solve the blight problems. Detroit people could very well pool money together to improve the conditions. Governor Whitmer doesn’t have to live amongst the trash and graffiti, but you do.
