Freelancers Put Your Business Agreements In Writing
What is a valid agreement?
A valid contract requires an offer, acceptance of that offer from the offeree, and consideration (typically money). After discussing everything and agreeing upon the terms, the agreement should be reduced to a writing.
Oftentimes freelancers do not put these agreements for services in writing. That is very risky. It is beneficial for you and the client to have a written agreement. This article will explain the benefits of a written agreement to put and what to include.
The benefits of putting agreements in writing
Anything could happen in the future and it is important to know what you agreed to later on. The only way to do that is if there is a written agreement. If you rely on your verbal agreement, there may be differences between you and the other person to the agreement.
If there is a discrepancy about any of the terms of the agreement you can reference back to the agreement for clarification. You won’t remember your verbal agreement in the future. I’m addition, clients will take your more serious when you put your terms in writing. If a dispute does arise, you will have your agreement, which is more reliable than a a verbal agreement.
