Black people kill each other everyday in their own neighborhoods.
When I write about cases like this, I wish I was already a lawyer out there helping people. I decided to write about this case because I have nothing else to do. I’m homeless and have time (unfortunately).
But also, I found it interesting how so many people was outraged with the results of this case on Facebook. I heard about this case a while ago, but never took time to really understand what happened and what the fuck was / is going on.
Writing about legal cases also help me to think like a lawyer and allow me to be a pretend lawyer. It helps me feel a little better about my miserable life and misfortunes. I can use some of my legal education and not let it totally be in vain.
What’s new? What’s different?
Black people only care when a white person do what they already do. Amber was a cop. Regular black people are responsible for more black murders today than white police offers doing their jobs.
The killing of Botham Jean is another example of how Black lives and bodies are seen differently in this country.
