Why do black clothing brand owners wear Gucci? Why not wear your own brand? Why not create a recognizable brand and logo so that you too can build a multimillion clothing business?
I’m not going to be on a yacht wearing Gucci if I have my own clothing company. I’m going to be on a yacht wearing my own brand. Is Gucci on a yacht wearing Shane Justin clothes?
This is putting Gucci above Shane Justin’s clothing. Gucci wouldn’t be “Gucci” but for people putting it on a hierarchy. Shane Justin doesn’t think he can be “Gucci”? I wouldn’t shop at Shane Justin. This is saying my clothes are less than Gucci. The more distinguishable your logo is the better.
I’ve never seen a Gucci commercial. They don’t need to do commercials. The logo advertises itself. People think it’s cute to wear Gucci and all these other symbols. What you are doing is free advertising. If you are building a clothing business, don’t stand on yachts wearing Gucci. Marketing and branding is everything. This is not what black people need to see. It’s enough black people praising and worshipping Gucci. Gucci not doing nothing in the hood for black people.
