Detroit Juvenile Corrections Officer Forced To Quit After Not Being Allowed to Wear a Mask

Azanean Petty worked at Wayne County posted a tearful post about the incident on social media. The post was shared on Crime News In Detroit Instagram page.

She had many valid and logical reasons to request wearing a mask. She was concerned about her son, mother, father, and other family she lives with. Her boss stated that her 49 year old mother has already lived her life.

She was told to just pray because if she believes in God that should be enough. I don’t know if praying will protect anyone from the coronavirus.

Two employees have already died from the Coronavirus at this corrections facility. At this point, why do employees have to ask to wear a mask? Wearing a mask should be mandated or voluntary. One thing for sure, is that businesses and organizations will need better leadership.

Corrections Departments are part of the government

The same entity that tells the truth world to stay home, stay safe, social distance. However, the government doesn’t protect the employees or the juvenile delinquents. This is a potential lawsuit for wrongful termination.
