Detroit Is Not Coming Back
Detroit will never thrive or “come back”. People have been saying Detroit is coming back since I was a child growing up in Detroit. If Detroit was coming back, it would have been came back by now. When a city is coming back it comes back. It doesn’t continuously say it is coming back year after year, decade after decade.
Black people in Detroit don’t want to change.
A city like Detroit will not come back without the people changing. It’s not about businesses — it’s about the black people that live there. Just examine black people in Detroit — how they act, think, live, and how they treat each other.
Detroit is predominately black yet there is racism in Detroit among black people. There is high crime and always been high crime. So what exactly is Detroit coming back from? I don’t know why people like to say, “Detroit is coming back”. This guy I used to know told me that Detroit is coming back trying to convince me to move back there.
I will never move back to Detroit.
Detroit is run down and filled with crime. There are no real businesses in Detroit. Detroit sucks and is a horrible city. People that live in Detroit know Detroit sucks and they try to convince themselves and others Detroit is coming back.
