Detroit is Gloomy

I thought I was the only one to notice how gloomy Detroit is.

I used to drive home to Detroit from Michigan State and suddenly feel depressed. Although I was excited to visit home to see family and friends, my mood changed as I got closer to Detroit and saw the skyline. Maybe there is a dark evil spirit over Detroit. I have never experienced this anywhere else. Like the guy in the post above, my family lives there, but I am not thrilled to be in Detroit to see them. People from the inner city of Detroit need travel outside that dark city. People in Detroit hate traveling to the suburbs. I lived in Clinton Township, that was too far. Michigan State was too far for people I knew to come visit.
