I lived in Charlotte for 5 years and never paid attention

I lived in Charlotte, NC and went to law school in Charlotte at Charlotte School of Law from 2013 and 2015. I left Charlotte for good in late 2018/ early 2019. The law I attended was originally located near the uptown area off of Beatties Ford Rd. Then the school moved its location to the Charlotte Plaza, located in actual Uptown. Uptown is Charlotte’s downtown. I don’t know why they call it that. I guess they want to be different.

I hated being in uptown. It was traffic, we had to pay for parking, you had to walk from wherever you parked to class each day instead of driving to the building, parking, and walking into class. Being in uptown was a hassle. Then it started to get thick. The population grew thick rapidly. I never seen such a rapid growth in population in a matter of a few years. Rush hour traffic started at 1:00 pm everyday.

With the growth of the population came new apartments, townhouses, and brand new homes. Apartment buildings started popping up everywhere on every corner. One area where they built new nice homes was Fort Mill, SC. Fort Mill sits right on the edge of Charlotte. But that area is ridiculously crowded too. The population of Charlotte forced people to move on the outskirts of Charlotte. You either went south or you went north up to the Lake Norman area.

So I didn’t pay attention to the apartments at that time. I was in a hurry to leave…
